I had the privilege of editing one of the episodes of TV mini series Variola Vera — a show portraying the 1963 smallpox epidemic in Wrocław, Poland.
The project was nominated for the Polish Film Awards (Orły), recognized at Series Mania Festival, BNP Paribas Warsaw Serial Con and received five nominations from Wirtualna Polska for Top Seriale.
It was a demanding and deeply rewarding process. The project brought together emotionally charged performances, beatiuful cinematography, and a bold directorial vision.
One of the most compelling part of my work was integrating archival footage with newly shot material — not as illustration, but as an organic part of the narrative. The goal was to let history and drama breathe within the same rhythm.
Grateful to have contributed to a story that carries historical importance, human intensity, and a distinct aesthetic weight.
Big Thank You!
